As you get older how you live your life affects how you feel.  It is important that you feel good about yourself in order to bring out the best in you. A lot of people have a negative outlook in life which makes them unhappy and discontent many begin to worry about their future retirement income.    If you want to improve your outlook, you need to practice self improvement techniques daily.   Here are some helpful self improvement techniques that will change how you see yourself and the world you live in:

·    Start the day right.  Eating breakfast may not seem like one of the more effective self improvement techniques but is actually makes a lot of sense.  Breakfast gives you the energy you need to help you get through the day.  Exercising after getting up is also a good idea.
·    Exercise! Working out strengthens your body and help you cope with stress.  It is common fact that exercise releases endorphins in the body.  Endorphins mimic the effects of opiate; it is the body’s natural way of producing painkillers and giving a natural high.  Exercise also improves your health and makes you look younger.
·    Get out and have fun.  Spending too much time at work causes stress.  You should go out and have fun with your friends at least once a week.  Organize a weekly poker or movie night; go barhopping, bowling, fishing or camping.  Take the time to relax and have fun; it’s nice to break the routine once in a while.
·    Accept that bad things will happen.  It will get you down and there’s nothing wrong if you get hurt; as long as you don’t let it affect the rest of your life.  Accept that there are certain things you will lose along the course of your life; most of the time, you can’t do anything about it.  Instead of focusing on the negative, focus on the things that you have: you friends, your family, your job or career etc.
